“Our stay at Samantha's place was delightful! The house is incredibly cozy and more inviting in person than in the pictures. The lightning-fast internet was a blessing for streaming cat videos or working remotely. The kitchen was a culinary wonderland, fully equipped with every type of plate, knives, tools, utensil, and cutting board imaginable. The solid wood furniture added rustic charm, and the views from the living room overlooking the cove were very beautiful… perfect for sipping coffee and contemplating life’s mysteries. And let’s not forget the gas grill outside! It was the cherry on top of our culinary adventures allowing us to enjoy delightful barbecues while soaking in the serene surroundings. We can't wait to return for another round of cozy living.”

“I took a solo weekend at this cottage and loved everything about it. The interior is actually prettier and more spacious than the pictures convey. It has a large, high ceilinged living area, cozy bedroom, and nice bathroom w/ washer/dryer. The views of the cove from the front windows are gorgeous! I went on some pretty runs and walks along the coast, right from the cottage. One of the afternoons was very rainy, so I drove to the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland. I hope to return to this cottage and replicate this weekend in the future! Thanks, Samantha, for making the place so welcoming--right down to a bright bouquet of fresh flowers on the kitchen counter.”

I have never seen a house so meticulously well-appointed. Everything you need to cook, bathe, sleep, or relax is right where you need it. The house was immaculate when I arrived. I had the most relaxing vacation, reading, swimming, watching clouds, and absorbing the peace and quiet of a late Maine summer.”

“The Barnacle is a perfect setup for two people. The new dock is in a class by itself. It was so interesting to watch the lobster boats bring in their catch to the dock just a short distance away. This place is centrally located near many diverse attractions or just do what we mostly did...enjoy the views and solitude of the cottage.”

“Such a great break from hotel stays. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and dishes that made it easy to make meals and enjoy the location (instead of going out). We grilled, took walks to the beach, loved the deck set up and watching the sunrise. It was the perfect peaceful rejuvenation we needed. Easy access to Rockland, Camden and closer to get to Acadia than staying more mid-coast.”

It wasn't super close to a main city which we liked, but it was close enough to make visiting cities and other sites easy. There is also a few corner stores nearby if you need anything.”
